TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

1. GENERAL

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services, repairs, inspections, and sales carried out by Battery Service Center.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms.

2. SERVICES

The company provides:

• Repair and refurbishment of lithium batteries 
• Testing and diagnostics 
• Sale of batteries and related electronic equipment 
• Due to the condition, age, or previous modification of lithium batteries, Battery Service Center cannot guarantee that every battery can be successfully repaired.
• Inspection, diagnosis, engineering time, design work, testing, dismantling, battery pack design, custom programming, and handling charges are non-refundable once work has commenced, irrespective of whether the customer subsequently proceeds with the repair.

All services are carried out in accordance with internal procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

3. QUOTATIONS AND ORDERS

• All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated 
• Orders are subject to acceptance by the company 
• Any changes to scope must be agreed in writing 

4. PRICING AND PAYMENT TERMS

• All prices are quoted in GBP unless otherwise stated 
• Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date 
• Late payments may result in suspension of services 
• The company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices 

5. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers shall:

• Provide accurate information about the product 
• Inform the company of any known faults or risks 
• Ensure safe packaging when sending items 
• Comply with applicable safety and transport regulations 

      5.1. ABANDONED OR UNCOLLECTED PROPERTY

• Batteries, battery packs, electronic equipment, or other goods that remain uncollected for more than 30 calendar days after written notification of completion, quotation, cancellation, or request for collection shall be deemed abandoned unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Where invoices remain unpaid, the customer fails to arrange collection, refuses delivery, or cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, Battery Service Center reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
  • recycle or dispose of the batteries or equipment;
  • dismantle the batteries for recycling or recovery of components;
  • sell reusable components where legally permitted;
  • transfer the items to a licensed waste management contractor; or
  • otherwise deal with the property in any manner considered appropriate.
• The customer shall remain liable for all outstanding invoices together with any storage, handling, administration, transport, disposal, recycling, environmental compliance, and recovery costs incurred.
• Battery Service Center shall not be liable for any loss, damage, depreciation, or destruction of property that has been treated as abandoned in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

     5.2. CUSTOMER CANCELLATION

• Once a battery has been received and work has commenced, the customer may cancel the repair at any stage; however, all work completed up to the date of cancellation shall remain payable.
• This includes, but is not limited to:
  • inspection and diagnostics;
  • dismantling and assessment;
  • battery design and engineering work;
  • procurement of parts;
  • testing;
  • handling and administration;
  • packaging and storage.
• Any unpaid charges must be settled before the battery is released.

6. HEALTH & SAFETY

The company operates in accordance with applicable Health & Safety regulations.

         HAZARDOUS BATTERIES

• Customers must accurately declare the condition of all batteries before shipment.
• Battery Service Center reserves the right to refuse any battery that presents an unacceptable safety risk.
• Batteries found to be severely damaged, leaking, swollen, burnt, contaminated, or otherwise unsafe may be immediately isolated and disposed of without further consent where necessary to protect people, property, or the environment.
• Disposal and recycling charges for hazardous batteries shall be payable by the customer

7. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Battery Service Center is committed to environmental protection in line with ISO 14001.

• Used batteries are returned to customers where possible 
• If declined, waste is handled via licensed waste contractors 
• All disposal is carried out in compliance with environmental regulations 

 

8. QUALITY AND WARRANTY

• Services are performed with due care and professional standards 
• Any issues must be reported within a reasonable timeframe 
• The company does not guarantee repair success in all cases due to the nature of electronic components 

 

9. CONFIDENTIALITY

The company treats all customer information as confidential.

• Technical and business information will not be disclosed to third parties 
• Data is handled in accordance with internal data protection policies 
• Information may only be disclosed where required by law 

 

10. IMPARTIALITY

The company ensures that all services are carried out:

• Objectively and without bias 
• Independently from external influence 
• With integrity and professionalism 

 

11. LIABILITY

• The company shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses 
• Liability is limited to the value of the service provided 
• The company is not responsible for pre-existing faults 

 

12. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

• Customers are responsible for arranging delivery unless agreed otherwise 
• Risk remains with the customer until items are received 
• Completed items must be collected within a reasonable time 

13. FORCE MAJEURE

The company shall not be liable for delays or failure due to events beyond its control, including:

• Fire 
• Power failure 
• Supply chain disruption 
• Natural events 

 

14. COMPLAINTS

All complaints shall be handled in accordance with the company’s complaint procedure.

Customers may contact the company directly to raise concerns.

 

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

 

16. ACCEPTANCE

By using our services, the customer confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
